Summertime can play a harsh game with hair, the humidity can wreak havoc causing hair to fizz have a greasy build-up and even split-ends. No one wants to spend time getting ready and styling their hair for it to be wrecked the second they walk our the door. So what is a woman to do? I have a few tricks and hairstyles up my sleeve to battle the summer heat.

Trick number one, I turn to my favorite professional hair care products for help KENRA. If you haven't heard of KENRA Professional it's a wonderful haircare brand started in 1929 and their products are top notch. You can find their products at your local Ulta and select salons around the nation. Once I tried their products I was hooked and you will be too. Promise.

As a mom, I do not have a ton of time to dedicate to hairstyles but throwing my hair up in a top-knot or ponytail every day is not an option. So I set out on a personal mission to change my boring routine and put a sparkle in my hairstyle. I took myself to my local Walgreens and investigated their hair tools selection and I found two great products, to help with those of us who are styling impaired. Which leads me to trick two Conair styling tools. Conair created these super helpful styling tools with step by step instructions to help anyone create flawless styles I chose the classic vintage roll and the French braider and I have a 3/4 barrel curling iron as from Conair. I really love Conair's products the price point is great and they last forever. So with my tools and styling products in hand plus 15 mins on the clock I have three great hairstyles to share.

Let's start with the beach waves I absolutely love the texture are volume it gives to my hair, plus it's easy to create. I like to create beach waves with clean hair and the KENRA products help create a lasting a look. To damp or towel dyed hair I add a desirable amount of Kenra Whip Grip Mousse 9, let my hair fully dry and my curling iron heat up while I finish my make-up, gotta multi-task. Before I start my hair styling I spray my hair evenly root to tip with the Kenra Air Grip Spray 5 let it set for a few seconds and start my styling. I broke my hair in selections I start from the nape of the neck and work my way up to the bang. I take the curling iron and point the tip downward and wrap small or medium pieces around the outside of the iron, I hold for a few second and then release the curl into the hand and hold until also cool, and lightly spray the piece with Kenra High Grip Spray 20. After I moved up my whole head I flip over and comb out the curls breaking them up and adding volume and softening the overall look. I spray the waves one last time for extra hold I am ready to go. These 3 KENRA products work together to give your hair the volume and hold that you crave. My beach waves lasted for three days without any retouching and I slept on them, BANANAS!!

I love this second look and it's super easy to create with the Conair classic vintage roll tool. Comb out your hair to make sure there are no knots or tangles, this is also I great look for hair that is newly cleaning or if you are on day two or three. Spray in the Kenra Air Grip Spray 5 throw your hair place the roll at the nape of your neck take small selections of your hair starting from by your ear and tuck into through the roll, I always pin at the end but you do it as you go. Go back and forth from one ear to the other take small selection combing them out for a soft look and tucking them in the roll. Five minutes and you are done. Finish with a few pins to secure and spray with Kenra High Grip Spray 20. You are out the door and everyone thinks you spent hours on your hair.

Hairstyle three the French braid, now for the life of me, I cannot french braid my hair or anyone else is. I am a one trick pony when it comes to braiding so I got the help of Conair's French braider tool. The braid is a great style for summer keeps your hair in place and looks great by itself or with accessories. I went for the half side french braid, because, well I am not 6 or playing softball. Again, I sprayed in the Kenra Air Grip Spray 5 evenly over the hair and began the style technique. I parted my hair on one side and placed the tool at the crown of my head, I followed the instructions until my desired look was completed, I added smaller simple braid next to my large one and let the rest of my hair fall naturally. Depending on how good you are with the time tool or the desired look it can take between 5 and 10 minutes to complete. I hope these looks and my few tips and tricks help you with your summer hairstyles.
