Must Check Out The FLATS!! One of Cleveland's newest attractions and major rehabs is the area downtown known as The Flats and it has turned into one of Cleveland's hottest neighborhoods. From the lakefront views, amazing architecture and a ton of fabulous restaurants to get your eat on. Even the Metropark runs right through it, it's an unmissable experience.

Lakewood Park: Lakewood is one of Cleveland's picturesque neighborhoods and has a great family-friendly vibe. We were in town for the 4th of July and Lakewood had an awesome parade and fireworks display right in Lakewood Park. A social gathering epicenter for the community, it's the perfect place to spend a summer day. Eat and bbq out while hitting the community pool and let the kids tire themselves out on the playground. Then lay back and end the evening watching the sunset.

Shop:

Westside Market: If it's edible Westside Market has it. Cleveland's local market for all things food is a cannot miss. From fruit and vegetable stands as far as the eye can see, to butchers and cupcake makers. The Westside Market is a foodie's paradise. Plus you can check out the hip neighborhood it sits in, Ohio City.

Eat:

Angelo's Pizza of Lakewood: I will say this about Angelo's they make some of the best pizza I have ever had, period. It's family-friendly with a  great patio and a wonderful staff to take care of you. The beer selection is awesome and the weekly specials are great for everyone's pocketbook.

East 4th Street in Downtown Cleveland: My absolutely favorite spot downtown Cleveland is 4th street, a paved brick street for pedestrian use only. Take a stroll down the street and stop into all the wonderful places. Sip a glass of wine on a patio and people watch or take the family for a few rounds of bowling.

Drink:

Local Breweries: Ohio, especially the Cleveland area, has had an influx of great breweries pop-up and they have the magic sauce. While in town I was able to try a few of the great beers that are made out there, I give a huge thumbs up to Fat Head's Brewery out of North Olmsted.
Whiskey Island: Need some adult fun... Look no further. Whiskey Island has great lakefront views, dockage for boats and has a great eatery.

Ride:

The RTA & Water Taxi
Cleveland has bumped up its public transportation big time and it's never been easier to get around Downtown Cleveland and the surrounding areas. They even have an awesome water taxi that runs on the weekends and connects the Flats together. So skip the car and ride the RTA

In Cleveland check out these Awesome Neighborhoods:

RockyRiver
Ohio City

Going home for me is all about family! We were able to spend an awesome week, eating, drinking, and exploring. I cannot thank my brother Justin for putting us up and being our tour guide/driver. haha ;)
