These Laundry Bombs are the Bomb!

Laundry is one of my biggest pet peeves. Clothes never look, smell or are as clean as when your mom or grandmother did them. We buy high-priced detergent, softeners, and dryer sheets to try and replicate the clean clothes we had growing up. For me nothing worked, I tried doing smaller loads, adding baking soda, and switching to more expensive products. So thanks to Pinterest I searched for the answers to the perfectly clean laundry, and I found it! Yes, this is a Do-It-Yourself-er but do not worry it's easy and cheap. The ingredients you can find at your local store and the products make multiple batches of these laundry bombs.

Now, I am not a stay-at-home mom or a mom-who-can do-it-all. But these bombs are definitely worth your time, about 20 mins to mix them together and let them sit overnight.

What You'll Need:

Small mixing bowl

Grater

1 1/2 cup washing soda

1/2 cup Fels-Naptha

2 tablespoons Epsom salts

3 tablespoons hydrogen peroxide

1/4 cup vinegar

15-20 drops essential oil

Sheet pan

Parchment paper

Measuring spoons

Mix the washing soap, the gartered Fels-Naptha, and Epsom salts (I use a lavender Epsom salts for two reasons: one you won't have to buy separate essential oil and you can use the lavender Epsom salts for a relaxing bath.) Give the ingredients a little stir and then add  hydrogen peroxide and vinegar. Add the essential oil last, I added an orange essential oil for an added smell of clean but it's your choice. Mix well and take your TBSP spoon, scoop, and pack, then place on your lined baking sheet. Let them rest for 8 hours before use, easy.

Use 2 for large loads and 1 for small loads. I know all the moms out there are calling BS but I have a little boy that loves playing in the dirt and his clothes come out clean and fresh, for extra dirty or stain clothes, break apart a bomb and pre-soak the items.

I no longer use chemcial stain cleaners, pre-soak for hours, re-wash clothes, or use dryer sheets, and did I mention all the money I am saving on laundry detegent.
