Summer in the Midwest makes me think of a few things Chicago style hot dogs, rooftop dining, and the lake. Being out on the water, boating and anchors inpartcular. Chicago is a big sailing city so I felt anchors would be apportiate for my first summer style post. 

I am a pear-shaped shorty and the mother of a toddler, so I try to wear outfits that are functional but stylish. The button-down oxford is a staple item for me.
